Case Study - Training and Development Agency for Schools
Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA) was established by the government in 1994 with the objective of increasing the number of applicants into the teaching profession.
EWA continues to successfully support the TDA to meet the challenging objective to recruit 40,000 teachers to the profession each year through the provision of a dedicated contact centre and CRM system.
We consistently exceed our targets for recruitment and service levels, scoring a unique 100% in all categories in our last full review. EWA’s complete service package is the essence of delivery:
- The initial profiling and segmentation of candidates enables highly targeted communications to specific individuals enabling TDA to get their message to the right people at the right time with minimum expenditure.
- A CRM system that instantly profiles enquirers to ensure that priority is given to the best and most needed prospects - ensuring TDA’s investment is being applied for maximum effect.
- Direct web to database interface ensures that information is updated and available in real time and reduces duplicated data entry costs; data transfers and maintenance.
- Experienced, knowledgeable staff able to appropriately match enquirers’ needs to actions – ensuring utilisation of TDA training services and support is optimised.
- With a tenfold increase in enquiries over as many years, EWA’s flexibility has enabled TDA to increase its advertising; maintain service levels; and manage cost effectively through the use of enhanced working practices.
- Insight analysis provides TDA with evidence to mould strategy, messages and services to meet changing demands for teachers and their training requirements – both locally and nationally.
- Outbound communications (telephony, e-mail, SMS) targeted at key recruitment sectors has led to significant increases in teacher training applications in secondary priority subjects (e.g. mathematics, +104%; chemistry, +39%; physics, +64%; and ethnic minority groups, +131%).
