EWA Supports Children in Need
Every year, EWA proudly supports BBC Children in Need, raising money for the important charity that aims to positively change the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in the UK. The company has been supporting the charity since 1988 and in 2006, raised £7,668 through various activities put on by EWA staff.
EWA’s involvement with Children in Need is one that is extremely well supported by the company’s staff and once again this November, EWA will be aiming to raise a substantial amount for the charity whilst having as much as fun as possible and aiming to beat last year’s achievement.
Along with all staff coming to work in fancy dress, activities and events held during Children in Need day 2006 included:
• Bobbing for apples by nominated senior staff in a rather unpleasant concoction that certainly wasn’t water!
• A BBQ run by company directors selling tasty burgers and sausages
• Various food and cakes stalls including the famous “Kings Tea Shop”
• eway – EWA’s answer to a well know online auction site, selling items donated by suppliers, clients and staff
Previous events have even included the kidnapping of EWA’s Directors who were blindfolded and driven to obscure places and made to make their way back to the office!
2007 promises to be another great event and staff have begun planning what they will be doing to raise money… let’s hope we can beat our 2006 total.
